Terms Of Agreement:

Essex Cinemas wants to make your online experience, fair, easy and efficient. Because of the associated costs and occasional abuse related to online activity on sites such as ours, we have to set and enforce certain purchase policies.

Costs and Fees:

A fee of $1.00 per ticket is assessed for all online purchases. The online ticket purchase option is offered as a convenience to our customers who prefer to benefit from purchasing their tickets ahead of time before arriving at Essex Cinemas. This option involves credit card processing fees and third party costs associated with ticket issuance, tracking and maintenance. Rather than spread these costs to all our customers through higher overall ticket prices, the charges only apply to those who elect to buy online. Essex Cinemas receives no portion of the $1.00 per ticket fee (which goes entirely to a third-party processor), but instead only receives the same net ticket price as if you had purchased your tickets for cash at the theater.

To avoid abuse sometimes arising with online purchasing, certain policies and rules have been adopted for your protection as well as ours. Our goal is to provide you with a great experience beginning with the purchase of your ticket, and continuing through the entire movie.

We believe that the way to do this is to provide complete information about the process and what the rules are. Please take a minute to read them.

No Refunds:

There are no refunds for tickets purchased on our website. This includes the per ticket fee service. Why do we have this policy?

When you purchase a ticket on our site, the ticket is removed from the theater's inventory of tickets for that show. This means that, in order to ensure that you have a seat, the ticket cannot be resold.

When you purchase tickets from our site, you will be asked to verify your order. Be sure to check the title, date, and time before you finalize your purchase by clicking on "Place Order".

In the event that you cannot attend the show for which you have purchased tickets, you should contact an Essex Cinemas theater manager as soon as you know you cannot attend the show, as the exchange policy will be influenced by whether or not they think they can sell the ticket you reserved. Exchanges can only be done at the theater; no refunds will be issued. In all cases, the third party $1.00 per ticket service charge is not refundable.

Picking Up Your Tickets:

Your confirmation page and email confirmation contains important information about retrieving your tickets at the theater. Tickets are issued through a special kiosk that is available only to those purchases of tickets from this site. You have to enter a code that is based on the information sent to you in the confirming e-mail and online purchase confirmation page. YOU MUST BRING A PRINT-OUT OF THE PURCHASE CONFIRMATION AND THE ACTUAL CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD WITH YOU TO THE THEATER WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR TICKETS.

Payment Methods:

We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and debit cards. AGAIN, YOU MUST BRING A PRINT-OUT OF THE PURCHASE CONFIRMATION AND THE ACTUAL CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD WITH YOU TO THE THEATER WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR TICKETS.
